Perpetual Mechanical Array is a Boss in Genshin Impact. Bosses are special enemies that are typically stronger than your average enemies and elite enemies. They usually have their own location or arena within the game. Bosses provide better rewards than normal enemies, but you will need to spend a certain amount of Original Resin to claim them. There are some bosses that won't require you to spend resin, as you will encounter some of them through the Archon Quests. Event Bosses also won't require you to spend any resin to claim its rewards.
When fighting bosses, it is important to be prepared and smart in choosing the right characters for the fight, some bosses are immune to certain elemental reactions, and it would be a waste if you were to pick your main DPS character to have the same elemental strength as the boss.
A strange, alien machine.
They say that it is a war machine left behind by a nation that has already been destroyed. Composed of several different parts, it can adapt to its combat environment and employ a variety of attacks. This machine, comprised of cubic shapes, is on some level very much like the elemental hypostases.

Strategy Writeup
The challenge of this boss arrives in phase 2 of its combat. This is triggered when the boss's HP is at 75%, and will be the same time it will summon additional forms that must be prioritized and cleared first. Each form has their own set of moves, that individually faced, aren't too threatening. The tactic here is to move in a way to try to separate them so you can attack them and clear then one by one. This will in turn drain the boss's HP.
- Physical - 70% - 20%
- Pyro - 10% - (-20%)
- Cryo - 10% - (-20%)
- Electro - 10% - (-20%)
- Anemo -10% - (-20%)

- Hydro - 10% - (-20%)
Attacks & Counters
Attack | Counter |
Phase 1 | |
Rocket | This will be an obvious action as the boss turns into a rocket, flies up and then straight back down to where the laser indicator is. Stay out of this red circle to avoid damage. |
Lasers | Keep an eye on the lasers here, once they join and and are about to reform together, step away. |
Giant Sword | The boss pieces will form into a large sword for this attack. This takes a while and gives you time to prepare to reposition before the sword performs a slash. |
Disc | At this point, it forms a spinning disc that charges forward and sweeps horizontally. This action may be hard to avoid if you are already too close. Try to dash to your side to avoid getting in its path. |
Laser | This formation looks like a flat circle surrounded by its smaller pieces. You can expect the beam to shoot form the center aiming down to the ground directly in front. This will then slowly turn, but it should be easy to keep your position to the side or behind the boss to stay away from the Damage area. |
Phase 2 | |
Summons | At a certain point during combat or when the boss is down to 75% HP, Phase 2 begins. As the boss summons extra picecs of forms, he becomes immune and you are forced to fight his forms first. One of these summons will look slightly different from the others. It will have the addition of runes. Clearing this form will result in a long cooldown from the boss allowing you to deal as much damage as you can before he transitions to his next attack, |
Summon 1: Snake | Snake dives underground and as it emerges has a vacuum type action. And can cause AoE damage from underneath. |
Summon 2: Crab | This summon is a clunky form that uses a shield for protection. Once its shield is activate, it doesn't have the ability to move as well, but will slowly rotate itself to face the player and make sure the shield is in between. Once you notice its small crouch, you can expect a small leap forward. Its last move is its laser beam powers that it can shoot from the center of its head. The crab moves in predictable and avoidable ways. Avoid its been and try to keep circling to its side to get a better angle for attacking. |
Summon 4: Jellyfish | Another clunky form that moves in a slow manner. This form uses its head to do a very small head but and its tentacles to do a small whip. The jellyfish also has an ability to leave an elemental orb. Avoid this as it will cause some damage. The jellyfish also has a laserbeam action, much like the crab. It takes a while for the jellyfish to prep. You will notice it bring its head down in preparation to shoot, but you can interrupt this action by hitting it. |
Mini Pod | Shoots small beams much like the other forms. It has quite a long charging animation before some attacks and can also be interrupted with you rown attack. It can also summon down a rain of bullets within the AoE |
