Genshin Impact is an open-world, action RPG developed and published by miHoYo for PC, PlayStation®4, and iOS/Android for mobile. It is a Free-to-Play game that features a Gacha monetization system in the form of Wishes. Genshin Impact features an action-combat playstyle with classic RPG mechanics, the game also allows players to create a party of up to four playable characters that can be used and swapped on the fly to execute deadly and exquisite combos. It is scheduled to release on September 28, 2020,

Genshin Impact Story & Setting

The story follows a set of twins (brother and sister) who can travel from one world to another, but eventually, they encounter an unknown entity and find themselves in an epic showdown. During the battle, things turn out worst for the siblings as one of them gets pulled into another dimension as the other survives. As the twin you choose, it is your duty to uncover the secret behind the entity you encountered, to find and bring back your twin, and hopefully... to right the wrong. 

As the surviving twin, you arrive in Teyvat, a fantasy world where the seven elements flow and where mortals have been granted the ability to harness the seven elements by the Archons. As you venture in this land, you will freely explore this wondrous world, join forces with a diverse range of characters, and unravel the countless mysteries that Teyvat holds.

But when you learn of an ancient threat now facing this world once more — will you, an Outlander, be the one to stay the flames?

Genshin Impact Gameplay

• In Genshin Impact, there's a lot to do especially in Exploration. You'll find various Quests that you can accomplish, puzzles to complete, new recipes that you can discover when it comes to Cooking, trials, challenges, and many more. When it comes to interacting with the characters of the game, you are treated to a number of dialogue options to choose from which adds a bit of volume, flavor, and funny reactions depending on your choices.
• You can get to visit towns, travel, and explore around landscapes and you'll be looting a lot of materials that you'll need when it comes to cooking, crafting, and upgrading. Players can also get to soar through the air with a Wind Glider and swim lakes.
• Cooking in Genshin Impact is one of the mechanics of the game that is quite important, as you gather a bunch of Ingredients, you can find campsites and use it to cook yourself a delicious meal. The cooking system is pretty simple, you simply choose a recipe from the menu and then just hit the sweet spot on the cooking bar to get that Perfect quality. The higher the quality of food, the more benefits it holds such as higher HP regain. You also have certain types of food, that can restore a fallen playable character in your party if they end up taking a fatal blow.
• Just like any RPG, there is the Stamina Control system. You'll need to keep an eye out for your Stamina since you'll need this to run and dodge enemy attacks. It’s conveniently located in the middle of the screen, so you won’t have to look away and miss out on any of the action.
• Abilities or Talents aren't only used in battle, but in exploration as well. If you're tired of swimming the lake, you can activate certain talents that will allow you to create a frozen pathway to walk on.
• Each character has their own abilities which will charge up their ultimate attack, this is why it’s great to use the different characters in your current rotation so each has a chance to charge their attack. While facing larger enemies or even bosses, stacking these ultimates can deal some great damage.
• As for combat, you have a character party system that you can swap out whenever you want. Genshin Impact heavily focuses on the seven elements that each character can harness and this is where you can deliver deadly and exquisite combos. The seven elements are:

  • Hydro
  • Electro
  • Anemo
  • Dendro
