Artifacts in Genshin Impact are categorized as both armor and accessories of the game. These can be equipped by the playable characters to increase their stats and activate special artifact set bonuses, each character can equip 5 artifacts, one of each type. This page covers a list of all the artifacts found in the game.
Enhancing Artifacts in Genshin Impact
Enhancing Artifacts adds stats or increases the existing stats of the selected artifact, giving them up to four sub stats. With a good set of stats, players may then choose to level up this artifact. Artifacts can be leveled up to 12, but is lower depending on the rarity of the artifact. Focus on enhancing artifacts with a desirable main stat to gain complementing sub stats. Each enhancement has a chance to receive a bonus amount of exp. There is a 90% chance to have a regular x1 Bonus stat, a 9% chance to gain x2 EXP and a 1% chance for it to multiplied by 5. Once these stats are revealed, players may choose to scrap the artifacts with not so ideal stats in order to gain more EXP, and continue to upgrade those with the ideal set of stats.
How to Enhance Artifacts in Genshin Impact
Artifacts can be enhanced with Artifact EXP and Mora. Artifact EXP is gained by using artifacts as fodder and art EXP materials. Just like weapons, players may choose to scrap or recycle unwanted artifacts to gain Artifact EXP. This can be done through the enhancement menu found on the character screen- select the character with the artifact and enhance to enter the menu.
Set Bonus
Equipping 2 or 4 different types of artifacts that belong to the same set gives a special bonus depending on the set. Since characters are only able to equip 5 artifacts each character can only have the 2 and 4-Piece bonus from one set or two 2-Piece bonuses from two different sets.
Leveling
With a great set of stats, players will want to further level up an enhanced Artifact. 1 EXP point will cost 1 Mora, except when recycling a leveled up artifact.
Leveled Artifacts and Mora Cost equivalents
- 1 star: Base Exp = 420, Mora Cost = 420
- 2 star: Base Exp = 840, Mora Cost = 840
- 3 star: Base Exp = 1,260, Mora Cost = 1,260
- 4 star: Base Exp = 2,520, Mora Cost = 2,520
- 5 star: Base Exp = 3,780, Mora Cost = 3,780
Main Stats
Each artifact has a main stat and up 4 sub stats. The main stat is determined by which type/slot the artifact belongs to and the starting value is determined by the rarity of the artifact.
Main stats can include Flat HP, HP%, DEF%, Flat ATK, ATK%, Elemental Mastery, unique Elemental Damage Bonus% for each of the 7 Elements, Energy Recharge%, Physical DMG Bonus%, Crit Rate%, Crit DMG%, and Healing Bonus. These stats are sometimes exclusive to specific parts of the artifact, such as Elemental Damage Bonus%, which is only obtainable on a Goblet of Eonothem
Sub Stats
Every 4 levels an artifact will unlock a new sub stat if it has less than 4 or upgrade an existing sub stat if it already has 4. An artifact's sub stat can't be the same as the main stat.
Sub-stats include Flat HP, HP%, Flat DEF, DEF%, Flat ATK, ATK%, Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge%, Crit Rate%, and Crit DMG%.
