Claymores in Genshin Impact is a weapon category. Claymores are heavy weapons that are usually held with two hands, it is a larger variation of the regular sword that can deal with heavy and deadly damage even though it restricts the player's movements. Not all playable characters can equip a claymore, but instead, only certain characters specialize in using the weapon in battle. Claymores can be obtained as loot, acquired as a reward for completing Quests and Events, given by certain characters or NPCs, purchased from Merchants, and crafted. How to use Claymores in Genshin Impact?

The Claymore is a much larger weapon type that deals higher damage than the other melee weapon types. It takes a longer time to deal their attacks, but each swing and attack will cause more damage. This is especially effective when dealing with tough objects such as Rocks in the environment and Geo. Characters can use their claymore on rock walls to break them and reveal hidden loot and areas,

Like other weapons they have a regular attack and a their ultimate charge attack that requires a waiting period before dealing a larger, more damaging claymore smash. These regular attacks have a big swing radius and does not deal as quick as other melee weapons due to their size and weight. Their swing attacks can still be chained back to back to create a faster combat sequnce. Using charge attacks will also temporarily drain a character stamina. As characters charge their attacks, they swill start to rotate and swing. This attack sequence duration ends with a last finishing swing at the end of the stamina meter.

How to get Weapons in Genshin Impact

The most common ways to obtain weapons are to receive them from NPCs, gain them as rewards, participate in events, purchase them or obtain them from loot. Weapons are also sorted into different rarity rankings that affect how they are obtained and how often they can be encountered. They range from 5 star to 1 star weapons, with 5 star weapons being the most rare and harder to come across or obtain.

1-2 Star Weapons are obtained from chests in different locations, obtained from merchant NPCs or shops, obtained from NPCs after speaking to them or received with a new character
3 Star Weapons are also obtained from chests and can also be obtained through wishes, random spawns, Quest rewards, and NPCs.
4 Star Weapons are also obtained from Wishes, through Craftin or weapon Forging, Paimon's Bargains or other unique events.
5 Star Weapons are obtained exclusively through Wishes in Wanderlust Invocaftion and unique events,

Stats

Levels: During combat, players and characters can gain Weapon EXP, which can also be affected by weapon enhancement materials.
Depending on the Weapon ranking, weapons will have a base stat along with a secondary stat which directly affects the character stats. It scales with the weapon level.
These weapons also have passive abilities that provide buffs without players having to proactively activate any abilities. These effects can be affected by refining it. Refining can bring it up to a level 5 and are refined

Weapon Types

There are five classes of weapons available in Genshin Impact, which correspond to each of the characters. The weapons are sorted into Swords, Bows, Claymores, Catalysts, and Polearms. Each character wields only one type of weapon.

Weapon Rarity

Weapons in Genshin Impact are also ranked according to their rarity. They rank from 1-5 stars in the game. 5 Star weapons rankings appear to be the most rare weapon types, and 1 star weapons are the most commonly found weapons. These Rarity rankings affect how they are obtained and how often players can come across them.

When you possess four Sigils of Whispers, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the "Millennial Movement: Banner-Hymn" effect for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Banner-Hymn" increases Normal ATK SPD by 12~24% and increases ATK by 20~40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Whispers for 20s. Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement", buffs of the same type will not stack.
