Dvalin is a Boss in Genshin Impact. Bosses are special enemies that are typically stronger than your average enemies and elite enemies. They usually have their own location or arena within the game. Bosses provide better rewards than normal enemies, but you will need to spend a certain amount of Original Resin to claim them. There are some bosses that won't require you to spend resin, as you will encounter some of them through the Archon Quests. Event Bosses also won't require you to spend any resin to claim its rewards.
When fighting bosses, it is important to be prepared and smart in choosing the right characters for the fight, some bosses are immune to certain elemental reactions, and it would be a waste if you were to pick your main DPS character to have the same elemental strength as the boss.
Now that the Stormterror crisis has passed, it's clear skies above Mondstadt once again.
However, the memory of facing Dvalin in the sky amidst the storms is ever so vivid.

This boss encounter will be slightly different than others, since you are limited to a platform rather than a full arena. After a few minutes of combat, players should be able to recognize combat patterns and will have plenty of opportunities to deal damage in between attacks.

| Phase 1 | |
| Dive | This large boss swoops downs and skids towards the arena, damaging anything in its path. |
| Slam | This is anticipated as it drifts up slightly and slowly, you can expect a slam coming down on his claws. This attack will involve both the right and left side, so a center position would keep you from damage. Try to see which direction he is facing, run the opposite direction because this attack will follow with some down time. Attack the claw until the next transition. |
| Head Slam | Not really an attack- but an animation feature as a result of your attacks. His head slams on to the arena and will reveal his weak spot. Climb atop his neck and focus your attacks on his crystal horn. |
| Orb Projectiles | Just before the projectiles emerge, he will make a slight figure 8 flying pattern dipping left then swaying right. He will then release a few slow moving orb attacks. |
| Wind Gusts | An animation will occur before a few gusts of wind appear for you to use and hop onto another platform. Keep moving past the platforms to avoid his dice attacks. |

| Bite | This bite attack happens quick and affects about a quarter of the platform. He makes a swift quick nip towards the edge of the platform. The safest point is the center of the platform. This attack will also give players an opportunity to attack directly afterwards. |
